AAPM Virtual Library Overview:

AAPM has partnered with Blue Sky Broadcast, to capture, enhance and extend AAPM educational courses on the WEB via the AAPM Virtual Library.

The initial goal of AAPM for developing the AAPM Virtual Library was to provide continuing education to our members via the internet. The majority of scientific presentations currently posted in the Virtual Library will ultimately have continuing education credits associated with them.

But AAPM recognizes that the Virtual Library can be a useful resource for our members seeking not only continuing education, but other types of information relevant to the field of medical physics. Information provided by Corporate Affiliates such as company activities, information on new products or services, or providing online product demonstrations, could be beneficial to both our members and you, as Corporate Affiliates.

Corporate Affiliate - Vendor Presentations:

The AAPM Corporate Affiliate - Vendor Presentations site will consist of digitally captured presentations or demonstrations given by AAPM Corporate Affiliates.

  • Blue Sky Broadcast can film a presenter/speaker of your choice and synchronize with a slide show of your choice.
  • Blue Sky Broadcast can re-purpose existing video content for posting in the Virtual Library.

Why Participate?

  • The AAPM Virtual Library is a member service therefore all AAPM members have access.
  • Your presentation will be posted on your company website as well. This is an opportunity to reach potential customers viewing your website, who may not be an AAPM member.
  • Corporate Affiliates can customize and properly prepare a professional presentation to be digitally captured by Blue Sky Broadcast OR Corporate Affiliates may provide Blue Sky Broadcast with pre-existing digital content for re-purposing and posting by Blue Sky Broadcast.
  • It's affordable! The presentation will be posted for 12 months so in comparison to the costs of others types of advertising, the Virtual Library presentation fee is quite reasonable.
  • The virtual presentation will be an enduring product that can deliver your mission, products and services and will be available anytime, anywhere.
  • There will be a customized viewing experience. By using the Search, Book marking and Outline features, the viewer can optimize the presentation experience.

  • This price would include the capture, production and hosting of the Users Meeting or Symposia for 12 months of in the AAPM Virtual Library AND Blue Sky Broadcast will link this content to your Company website for the same time.
  • Pricing includes the digital capture of content in ONE room.
  • You may elect to have that produced in DVD-ROM format for a mastering fee of $500.
  • Any union labor or patch fees charged by the venue related to filming are your responsibility.
  • Blue Sky Broadcast will work with your AV provider to ensure a seamless capture and should a camera riser or supplemental lighting be needed to ensure a quality capture due to room configuration these will be your responsibility.

Repurposing of Existing Video
  • Corporate Affiliate to supply existing video and/or audio with slides which will be synchronized and placed in a branded for your Company presentation console and hosted (per approval by AAPM after review of the content).
  • Content limited to 90 minutes in length.
  • Content will be hosted in the AAPM Virtual Library for 12 months.

  • Corporate Affiliate Exhibitors who wish to participate will be assigned a time slot for the digital capture of their demonstration.
  • The scheduled time will allow for any set up or take down of exhibitor products or equipment and up to 5 minutes of film time. One retake of film time is allowed.
  • The digital capture will take place in a mock studio type setting.
  • Presentations will consist of streaming audio and video of the presentation with the video and slides in a synchronized format. Documents can be attached and hyperlinks to your website may be included.
  • Presenters are encouraged but not required to give a product demo using products or equipment that can be carried into the room or are present in the exhibitor booth.
  • Presenters are encouraged to provide PowerPoint slides of the presentations.
  • Presentations will be hosted in the AAPM Virtual Library accessible to all members for 12 months

The cost for capturing presentations in your booth is directly tied to how much time staff have to be dedicated to your booth (over two hours – full day rate applies)
  • Capture and production can result in one of two formats:

  • Pricing includes the digital capture of content in ONE room. Concurrent rooms may be captured subject to an additional price.
  • Presentations will be produced in Flash and additional format for viewing on mobile device such as an iPad. Technology will be used to capture all screen movement, embedded video files and animations.
  • This price would only include the capture, production (video/audio of the speaker synchronized with slides in a branded for your Company presentation console) and hosting of the presentations for 12 months  in the AAPM Virtual Library AND Blue Sky Broadcast will link this content to your Company website for the same period of time.
  • Transcription of presentations is an additional cost. The transcript can be attached or synchronized with the media.
  • You may elect to have your presentation mastered to DVD-ROM for a fee of $595.
  • Any union labor or patch fees charged by the venue related to filming are your responsibility.

  • The customized presentation will be in the Blue Sky Broadcast multi-media platform and will be hosted on the AAPM Corporate Affiliates -Vendor Presentations site for a period of 12 months upon activation or unless the Corporate Affiliate wishes the presentation to be taken down prior to that date.
  • The customized presentation will also be linked to the Corporate Affiliates company website for the same period of time, unless otherwise requested.
  • Allow 4 - 6 weeks for post-production.
  • Corporate Affiliates will be asked to review the presentation prior to posting. Minimal edits will be allowed. If something was out of synchronization or misspelled it will be fixed, but this will not be a time to make major changes to the presentation.
