Policy text
Should the need arise to fund a council activity that was not considered during the normal budget process, AAPM Council Chairs are authorized to approve the expenditure of funds, with the following considerations:
  1. The Chair expects that funding the activity will not cause the total expenses of the council to exceed the approved budget for the council;
  2. The total expenditure for the activity is less than $20,000; and,
  3. The expenditure must be reported in a timely fashion to the Treasurer and Executive Director.
Should a similar need arise to fund a non-budgeted Administrative Committee activity, Administrative Committee Chairs are authorized to approve the expenditure of funds, with the following considerations:
  1. The Chair expects that funding the activity will not cause the total expenses of the committee to exceed the approved budget for the committee;
  2. The total expenditure for the activity is less than $5,000; and,
  3. The expenditure must be reported in a timely fashion to the Treasurer and Executive Director.
Should the council or committee activity funding request not meet the considerations listed, the chair must take the request to the Executive Committee for consideration, under AP 25 - Executive Committee Expenditure of Funds
