Charge• To review and assess the literature on RCF dosimetry, for various film models used for various clinical applications in radiation therapy since TG-55. • To review and assess the literature on the densitometers/scanners used for digitizing RCF, including their features and limitations and QC since TG-55 • To outline the procedures to achieve accurate and precise dosimetry with a RCF dosimetry system and to evaluate measurement uncertainties. • To provide comprehensive guidelines on the use of RCF dosimetry for clinical radiation therapy applications.
