Committee Keywords: TG253
Most recent status update:The TG253 committee has a working draft of the report. The first five sections discussing the physical and dosimetric characteristics of the surface applicators and treatment systems included in the report are 90% complete. The remaining sections outlining best practices for output verification and development of a TG-100 approach for a QM protocol are in progress. Process maps have been developed for each treatment modality and current work on the details of the failure modes is ongoing. TG253 typically meets monthly, with sub-sections of our group meeting as needed. Our next face to face meeting will likely be at the AAPM annual meeting in July 2016. We plan to have a draft ready for our parent committee by the end of the year. - [6/3/2016 by Regina Fulkerson] Click to update.
