Web Site Subcommittee AAPM Members, Affiliates and Non-Member Affiliates - Login for access to additional information Charge The purpose of the Public Education web site is to educate the public on the (a) role of medical physics in healthcare, (b) technology that the medical physicist develops or oversees in their profession, and (c) requisites and opportunities for education and training of medical physicists. Specifically, the subcommittee will: (1) gather and organize material for the web site from AAPM components; (2) develop or supervise development of new materials for the web site; (3) evaluate the effectiveness of the public education web site; (4) maintain a strategic plan for the public education web site; and (5) report the status of the public education web site at regular meetings of the Public Education Committee and Electronic Media Coordinating Committee.
