International Day of Radiology 2019
The eighth International Day of Radiology (IDoR) is November 8, 2019. IDoR 2019 marks the 124th anniversary of the 1895 discovery of the X-ray by German physicist Wilhelm Röntgen. This year the day is dedicated to Sports imaging, to highlight the essential role that imaging professionals play in the detection, diagnosis, prognosis and treatment of sports-related injuries, increasing the quality of care and treatment of patients. IDoR 2019 will also include celebrations during National Radiologic Technology Week (Nov. 3–9).
AAPM is joining more than 100 medical societies around the world in marking this very special day. We invite you and your practice to take part as well.
