2011 AAPM Annual Meeting - Vancouver RFP

Symposia and Educational Courses are an integral and important part of the annual AAPM meeting. A number of scientific symposia, panel discussions, and workshops on various new and emerging topics provide members with overviews on interesting topics. Symposia and Educational Courses can be scientific, educational, or professional:

We would like to encourage you to submit ideas for our 2011 Annual Meeting in Vancouver. To submit an application for a Symposium or Educational Course (including SAMs) click here. Please respond by November 1, 2010.

Proposals should include the following:

  1. Type of session (see list above)
  2. Title
  3. Topic Area
  4. Name of Lead Speaker or Moderator
  5. Short description (maximum 250 words)
  6. Learning objectives
  7. Proposed faculty

Please note your proposal is meant to serve as a suggested topic of interest, along with a recommended list of faculty. The topics and contents of all proposals will be reviewed by the AAPM Program Directors, who will be responsible for the final selection. The quality of the submission is only the minimum requirement in the review process. Proposal selection will also be based on criteria such as other Educational Course topics for the 2011 meeting and topics presented in previous years. In short, we must include overall programmatic goals when reviewing proposals. Since there are a limited number of slots to fill, we fully expect that not all proposals will be accepted.

Regards,

2011 Program Committee
