Hub and Spoke Free Webinar Series
The AAPM Education and Training of Medical Physicists Committee is pleased to present this Webinar Series on Residency Training: Hub and Spoke Programs.
The hub and spoke residency model was first introduced in AAPM Task Group Report 133. This model of a residency program offers more opportunities for resident training than can be offered by a single site. However, since the publication of this report, few academic and private practice clinics have pursued CAMPEP accreditation for this type of residency. In 2013, a workshop on hub and spoke residency models was held in New Orleans. With the increased interest in looking for alternative methods to increase the number of residency programs, there has been a renewed interest in hub and spoke residencies.
To provide an overview of hub and spoke models, the rationale for pursuing this model, and the economics behind several such programs, a series of four webinars have been organized through the AAPM Education and Training of Medical Physics Committee.
These webinars are available to the first 500 participants that register.
