Convention Center

The 49th American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) Annual Meeting and Technical Exhibitions will be held at the Minneapolis Convention Center. The street address is 1301 Second Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN 55403. The exhibits will be utilizing Exhibit Halls B and C on Level I. The exhibit hall will have a combination of 10 feet x 10 feet and island booths. Moderated Poster Discussion and Standard Poster sessions will be held in Exhibit Hall C. View a detailed layout of Level 1 here.

The Scientific Sessions will be conducted in meeting rooms on Levels I, II and the Lower and Mezzanine levels. View a layout of the various levels of the Convention Center here.

Please Note:

Exhibit Hall Ceiling Height:
Hall B and C - 30 feet to 65 feet.

NOTE: Both Hall B and C have domed ceilings. The ceiling height begins at 30 feet and peaks at 65 feet. Exhibitors with island formations assigned to spaces beneath the domed area will need to be cognizant of the location in regards to hanging signs above the booth and rigging costs involved. Exhibit Hall Columns:
Halls B and C - Four columns in each hall.

Electrical Information:
Hall B and C - electricity provided from the floor.

Exhibit Hall Entrances:

There will be ONE entrance into each Exhibit Hall (B and C). The entrances are indicated on the floorplan so please note when selecting your requested booth spaces.

Housing reservations are being handled by the Minneapolis Convention and Visitors Bureau/AAPM Housing Bureau.

Abstract System Login

For Exhibitors with Room Block Reservations: Select link to the 'Exhibitor Housing Form'. The Housing Bureau will hold room blocks with a deposit. Personnel names with final arrival/ departure dates are due in writing no later than June 20, 2007. This is a strict deadline, and room blocks will be re-leased if names are not supplied by this date.

For Individual Exhibitor Reservations with No Room Blocks: You may prefer to make individual housing reservations by linking to 'Online Housing' or you can use the 'Exhibitor Housing Form'.

Exhibitors are STRONGLY encouraged to use designated AAPM hotels.

Travel Arrangements

AAPM has selected Travel Destinations Management Group as the official event travel service for the 2007 Annual Meeting. Travel July 21 - 27 and reference the AAPM Annual Meeting to receive airline discounts.

Dress Code

The dress code is business casual for the AAPM Annual Meeting.

Exhibitors' Breakfast

The Exhibitors' Breakfast will be held on Wednesday, July 25 from 8:00 am until 9:00 am of the Convention Center. One representative from each registered exhibiting organization is invited to attend. This is an opportunity for Exhibitors to provide feedback and suggestions, discuss the move out procedures, and future society meetings.

2nd Annual AAPM Blood Drive

Do you or any of your personnel have an extra hour to save a life? Please consider donating blood during the Second Annual AAPM Blood Drive on Tuesday, July 24. Memorial Blood Centers in Minneapolis will park a van right in front of the convention center from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. Our goal is to beat last year's 28 units collected!
