The use of out-sourced products and services are becoming common in the delivery of radiation therapy. These services can vary from beam modulators to brachytherapy loading and physics or dosimetry services. The site or physicists that utilize these third-party services must perform quality assurance on these services or products to ensure that they are accurate and match what was ordered. A quality assurance program that addresses this need matching current AAPM guidelines will be presented.

Learning objectives:
1.To learn what products and services are commercially available that can be performed by an out-sourced vendor.
2.To understand what quality assurance steps would be taken when receiving out-sourced brachytherapy loaded devices.
3.To learn the quality assurance needed to verify a beam modulator created by an outside vendor.
4.To understand what quality assurance tests are appropriate to verify the delivered product of outside physics and dosimetry services.
