Activities
  1. Describe the clinical problems to be addressed by a protocol management system.
  2. Describe the desired characteristics of a protocol management system (PMS), independent of imaging modality. A PMS includes the documents, procedures, and tools required to properly document and review imaging protocols.
  3. Provide a survey of existing approaches to protocol management, including existing tools, tools in development, and proposed and published standards.
  4. Provide a brief overview of considerations specific each imaging modality (e.g. radiography, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, and fluoroscopy).
  5. Discuss the security aspects of copying protocols to and from a modality unit electronically.
