 Pre-Summer School Festivities

Summer Scholars may wish to arrive a bit early (Friday Evening or Saturday Morning) to take advantage of our Early Bird R&R activities:

Pikes Peak Cog Railway Trip:

Travel with us Saturday early afternoon to the top of Pikes Peak, a trip you will not soon forget.

Climb to the summit of Pikes Peak aboard the Pikes Peak Cog Railroad. The Cog Railway will take you to an elevation of over 14,000 feet and is the highest railway in the United States. The summit will provide breath taking views in all directions. Pikes Peak was the site of inspiration for Katherine Lee Bates song “America the Beautiful”. Visitors may also visit the summit house for refreshments and souvenirs. http://www.cograilway.com

Time: 12:00 pm noon from Colorado College Campus
Please meet the bus on Cascade Ave by the Tutt Library
We will not wait for latecomers
   
Mimimum 20 people (if not met refunds will be given)
