AAPM GAMMEX 5K Run/Walk

Tuesday, July 28 • 6:00am start time
This year the course will start and finish in front of the convention center.

Deadline to register is July 1. There is no on-site registration for this event.

AAPM Gammex 5K Run/Walk Course Map

Registered participants must come by the AAPM meeting registration area in the convention center on Monday, July 27, between 10:00am and 2:00pm, to sign a waiver and pick up a race number and t-shirt.

The deadline to sign up for the 5K Run has passed. No on-site registration.

Tours

All tours depart from the Hall C Entrance, Anaheim Convention Center. Register for tours through AAPM on-line registration, beginning March 18. Deadline to pre-register for tours is July 14. Tour tickets may be available on-site, near the Companions' Welcome Center (Veranda Room, Marriott), if tours have not sold out.

Sunday, July 26 - The Charm of Old Towne Orange
1:00pm - 5:00pm
$29 per person

Experience the charm of Old Towne Orange. Over 700 dealers of antiques and collectibles, art, dining, history and more have set up shop here. The quaint downtown, one perfect square mile in size, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The plaza was recently renovated to its 1930's splendor, with a tiled fountain and a rose garden.

Monday, July 27 - Hiking in Crystal Cove
9:00am - 1:00pm

$95 per person

Doug Thompson, an internationally recognized naturalist, expedition leader, lecturer, photojournalist and author will lead the group along the breathtaking shoreline of Crystal Cove in Laguna Beach. You'll learn provocative facts about Native American life, animal ecosystems, and the diverse life found along the shore. This tour includes a boxed lunch and bottled water.

Tuesday, July 28 - Laguna Beach Art Walk
9:00am - 1:00pm

$60 per person

Laguna Beach flourished as an artists' colony in the early 1900's, and now attracts visitors to its studios, galleries and boutiques. Guests will be guided by a Laguna art expert on a customized Art Walk, set against the beautiful beach scenery. Experience an exclusive look into the creative world of one local artist, with a private tour of their gallery and studio. The Art Walk concludes at Laguna's Gallery Row, where you'll have the opportunity to explore shops and enjoy a bite to eat on your own.

Tickets are $14 per person. Please note that this ticket is included in some registration categories. Tickets may also be purchased on site at the Registration counter at the Anaheim Convention Center.

The American Association of Physicists in Medicine will honor AAPM award winners during a ceremony followed by a wine and cheese reception on Monday, July 27. Please remember your tickets.

Night Out - Beach Party

Tuesday, July 28 • 6:00pm - 10:00pm
Walk outside the convention center along the palm tree-lined walkway to Arena Plaza, and join us for a Beach Party. Dance to live music of The Stellar Show Band in the Southern California breeze, or chat with colleagues while enjoying the following menu:

We've also enlisted the talents of a local face painter, caricaturist, and balloon sculptor. And don't miss the Giant Wave photo op - have a friend take a photo while you hang ten inside a curling wave.

Please note: Each adult Night Out ticket will include 1 drink ticket, good for beer or a glass of wine. Once your ticket is used, cash will be accepted. Nonalcoholic drinks will not require a ticket.

Ticket prices are:
- $62 (21 and over)
- $55 (ages 12 - 20)
- $48 (ages 3 - 11)
- free for children 2 and under

Please note that this ticket is included in some registration categories. Tickets may also be purchased on site at the Registration counter at the Anaheim Convention Center located in the lobby outside Hall C.

Yosemite Trek for the Adventurous

Immediately following the Annual Meeting, intrepid explorers may join "Mountain Man" Dave Jette, PhD on a Yosemite Trek, including a two-day ascent of famous Half Dome. Click here more information.
