Charge

Determine what procedures and tasks the Diagnostic (Dx) QMP needs to personally perform in terms of clinical practice. Determine “allowable” procedures and tasks performed by an unqualified assistant under the supervision of the Dx QMP. The level of supervision, direct or general, for each task not performed by the QMP must be explicitly described. Define types of supervision for different circumstances and tasks.

Most recent status update:The task group evolved from a presidential ad hoc in 2011. Two face to face meetings were held, and subsequently a draft document was initially written based upon the minutes/discussions of the meetings by Lynne Fairobent in February 2013. An initial review by select committee members, and two separate conference calls have occurred in March 2013. The document is nearly complete, and should be completed by the committee after one or two more conference calls. Estimated completion date is May 2013. - [4/3/2013 by J.
