| Charge | This working group will be operating in parallel with another working group that is developing quantitative ultrasound QC test procedures. The primary task before this working group is to develop a set of quantitative tests for Doppler ultrasound systems. Of particular interest will be tests that are able to detect scanner performance degradation as a result of damaged or defective transducers. It is imperative that the tests be streamlined to require as little operator setup (to reduce operator variability) and to be as efficient as possible. This is because these tests are to be applied in a prospective study involving a large number of ultrasound systems and their associated transducers.
The working group will seek the cooperation and support of vendore. These will include vendors who supply phantoms and test equipment as well as the major ultrasound intrument manufacturers. |
