Presentations

MO-A-19A-1 Monday 7:30AM - 8:25AM Room: 19A

The purpose of our talk is to provide a relaxed and fun session for those seeking to improve their interviewing skills. You got your foot in the door, they liked your resume, and thought you looked interesting enough to bring out to meet face to face. How do you showcase your skills, while simultaneously showing them how well you would mesh with their current team? How do you respond to these newly popular questions that seem more interested in your feelings than in your technical skills? How do you pick up on the details that might clue you in that this potential employer isn’t right for you? Our session will give you concrete advice with examples to give you the tools you need to be successful in your next interview.

Learning Objectives:
1. Review some basic interviewing skills in terms of behavioral questions, common etiquette and human interactions
2. Demonstrate a good interview
3. Review some basic negotiating tactics
