AAPM "groups" (councils, committees, subcommittees, working groups or task groups) may budget for the purchase of equipment to be used in carrying out an approved AAPM charge. Individual items under $5,000 will be booked as "expendable equipment" in AAPM's financial records. This equipment will not be catalogued or tracked at an organizational level. At the end of the AAPM process, the equipment becomes the property of the group's chair.
