Activities
  • For TG reports deemed to benefit from an MPPG, generate and publish the MPPG through a collaborative effort with the originating TG. The MPPG should outline the minimum portions of the total TG report that should be implemented to ensure high quality within the scope of clinical services provided.
  • Identify new potential MPPGs.
  • For approved MPPGs, find a committee chair and facilitate member recruitment and committee startup. Establish MPPG timeline from creation to publication and monitor MPPG committee progress towards that timeline.
  • Review MPPG draft reports and provide comments to MPPG. 
  • Shepherd the MPPG through publication in a peer-reviewed journal.
  • Manage the five-year MPPG review cycle.
  • Track and promote uptake of MPPGs by regulatory and accrediting bodies, when appropriate.
  • Educate and update the AAPM membership on MPPGs.
