AAPM Committee Tree

1. Assess current barriers to entry into medical physics training and employment, including educational capacity, clinical training opportunities, certification pathways, and financial or institutional constraints.
2. Develop evidence-based proposals to expand and sustain the pipeline of well-trained medical physicists, with emphasis on therapeutic medical physics needs identified by the Therapy Demand and Supply Projection Working Group (TDSPWG) and the Therapy Workforce Assessment Working Group (TWAWG).
3. Collaborate with the AAPM Education Council and external stakeholders such as SDAMPP, CAMPEP, the ABR, and ASTRO's Workforce Committee to evaluate feasibility and implementation pathways.
4. Provide recommendations for potential actions that can strengthen the medical physics workforce, including in underserved communities and geographies.
