Activities

To develop evaluation methods to assess the performance of ultrasound image-display systems and the harmonization between the PACS-display and the ultrasound scanner-display. The testing methods include visual evaluation with test patterns and quantitative evaluation with photometers. Criteria will be provided based upon the guidelines in the report of TG-270 but with an expansion that is specific to ultrasound imaging tasks with expected results of various system models under optimized operating conditions.
