  1. Provide a framework for comprehensive acceptance testing of AEC systems in digital radiography devices.
  2. Provide recommendations for continuous quality control of DR AEC systems, including annual physics testing (methodology, frequency, targets, and control limits), and monitoring of exposure indicators.
  3. Describe methodology for adjusting protocol parameters (exposure compensators, dose controls, exposure cutoffs, backup timers, etc.) for appropriate image exposure.
