Activities
  • Engage with ESTRO, ASTRO, CARO, COMP and other professional societies creating ongoing dialog promoting information sharing and collaboration with AAPM on reirradiation.
  • Engage with NIH/NCI , NRG and MPI in promotion of AAPM endorsed registries building from the work of AAPM groups and members.
  • Proactive engagement of physician AAPM members in leadership of WG to promote AAPM membership by individuals in other specialties and to support clinical practice implementation.
  • Engage with Working group on Task Group Formation, convene stakeholder committees and councils to identify specific TGs, white papers and educational programs needed to enable AAPM membership to rapidly respond to the rising need.
  • Engage with government affairs to increase awareness among policy makers and funders of the emerging role of reirradiation in care and need support (e.g. billing codes)
  • Formulate recommendations for actions to AAPM Executive Committee promoting AAPM’s role and profile.
