COVID-19 Risk Management Guidelines for Group Meetings at AAPM Headquarters

Meetings at AAPM HQ will follow federal, state, and local COVID guidelines at a minimum. The guidelines will be announced at the beginning of the planning process and will remain in place for the specific meeting unless CDC guidelines are made more stringent, at which time the meeting guidelines will be modified accordingly. 
  • Because of continuing public health concerns, participants of AAPM meetings at HQ are strongly encouraged to be fully vaccinated. 
  • Masks are also strongly encouraged and should be consistent with CDC, state, and local guidelines. 
Individuals may participate virtually in meetings at HQ if they do not feel comfortable or are unable to participate in person.
 

Additional Information:

  • The HQ HVAC infrastructure has been upgraded with technology to reduce certain viruses and bacteria in the air, including SARS-CoV-2.
  • Sanitization stations, disposable masks and face shields, and single serve dishes and utensils will be provided throughout all meetings.

Travel from Reagan National Airport (DCA)
If you are comfortable with mass transit, take the WMATA (Metro) Blue or Yellow lines to King Street Station (2 stops). Depending on the time of day, transit time is approximately 10 minutes and the cost is ~$3.

PLEASE NOTE: There will be no rail service south of Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport Station from September 10 - October 22 due to major construction on the Yellow Line. Please visit here for alternative travel.

Otherwise, a cab or Uber/Lyft ride is approximately 18 minutes or more, depending on traffic. Cost may vary.

Travel by Car
Several major interstates and state highways service the area. Please be mindful of the time of day you choose to leave, as frequent congestion occurs. Limited metered parking is available along Prince Street (3-hour max); the rate is US$1.75/hour and can be paid via coin or credit card at a nearby parking kiosk. Garage parking is also available at 1700 Diagonal Road, Alexandria, VA [map]; daily max US$14.
