AAPM Committee Tree

The Clinical Chief Medical Physicists Subcommittee will provide a structured forum within AAPM for past, current, and aspiring chief medical physicists, or group leadership roles outside of academic medical centers.

The subcommittee will:

1. Facilitate peer-to-peer exchange of operational experiences, leadership challenges, and practical solutions unique to community, private practice, industry-affiliated, and other non-academic clinical environments.
2. Identify common operational, regulatory, workforce, and financial pressures affecting these practice settings and promote shared strategies to address them.
3. Develop and disseminate practical resources, guidance, and best practices to enhance efficiency, quality, and sustainability in non-academic practice models.
4. Serve as a communication conduit to relevant AAPM committees to provide input on policy, workforce initiatives, and professional guidance with real-world practice needs.
