  1. To provide an overview of MECT-based applications to particle therapy.
  2. To provide guidelines and recommendations for clinical implementation of MECT use in particle therapy, including optimization of scanning parameters, workflow and management of MECT in the presence of motion.
  3. To provide guidelines on the use of MECT in estimating stopping-power ratios (SPR) and related range uncertainty regarding robust optimization and evaluation in treatment planning.
  4. To provide guidance and recommendations on acceptance, commissioning and the required quality assurance for MECT use in particle therapy planning and relevant FMEA.
