Working Group on Lung Function Imaging in Radiation Therapy (WGLFIRT) AAPM Members, Affiliates and Non-Member Affiliates - Login for access to additional information Activities Develop recommendations for integration of radiation oncology clinical applications of lung function imaging including functional lung avoidance radiotherapy and thoracic dose-response assessment. Review lung function imaging image generation components, accompanying uncertainties in the calculation process, and present quality assurance (QA) methodologies for the image generation processes for safe integration of functional lung imaging in radiation therapy. Develop strategies for validation of lung function imaging and overcoming impediments towards the general clinical adoption of lung function imaging in radiation therapy Provide education related to the above charges via courses, symposia, workshops and webinars.
